Cultural Kiddos
So another brave mom & I took 4 six-year-olds to the Gaugin exhibit at the Seattle Art Museum this weekend.
Perhaps not the most child appropriate material ever selected for an art exhibit, but it was funny–they didn’t really even notice. They were more concerned with playing with the headset and dancing around to Tahitian music while mildly distracting some of the more solemn art enthusiasts. I’m amazed we got through without too many reprimands.
So French Post- Impressionism did take much of a hold on them, but this toilet sculpture sure did. It was their favorite part. I guess they are more into abstract art. Please don’t ask what they found in there…
Here’s to “E” for Effort on cultivating cultural kiddos. Hope you had a great weekend.
