Guess What I’m Reading?

Usually there are several books on my nightstand that I’m in varying stages of reading, but no matter how good the current book, it gets promptly dropped as soon as anything ‘Kennedy’ comes into my hands.

Time to slip into some Camelot…Jacqueline Kennedy Historic Conversations on Life with John F. Kennedy

Skimming through excitedly, I’m trying to lift a special quote or photo and I cannot do it.  There are simply too many.

One of the many perfect gifts I’ve received during this difficult time.  Thanks M.R.

I’ve been drafting a post on “humility” and how I have learned so much (the help, the gestures, the gifts, our family, our friends, it’s overwhelming) about this concept in the past weeks. Maybe one of these days I’ll feel brave enough to post.

My Miss-oni

And another.  Yes, we are obsessed…

I’ve still not gotten over the thrill of dressing up little girls.  It’s too to much fun.

Missoni Pouf

More Missoni by Target arrived yesterday.  Note my daughter’s adorable sweater, I got the same one.  We vow to not wear at the same time…

I am LOVING my new pouf, a.k.a.my new “command central”

I’m really impressed with  the quality of the fabric and the construction of it.  Pssst, I hear there’s a run going on these babies on Ebay right now, but I’m keepin’ mine.

Cross your fingers for another shipment today.  Christmas in September!

Kiss of the Spider Woman

Halloween is all over the stores.  Ok, ok, I couldn’t tell you for sure, because I haven’t actually been in them (stores) for a month now, but I could only imagine.

So with Halloween and my first item of Missoni (by Target that finally arrived today by mail, thanks Mom) as inspirations, step into my web…

I love this serving tray that separates into 3 individual pieces.

Check out spider girl with fascinator web head band.  Sourced from Grandin Road.  (Thanks Grandma)

Moving on to adult fashion, with a dress this hot, you’ll never need to look back.

Fresh off the catwalk, Gucci Spring 2012 was looking rather translucent and webb-ish.

I may have to consider answering the door to give out candy in this fun floor length number designed by Martha Stewart also for Grandin Road.

Remember, never go to bed ‘mod.’

Oh what a tangled web we weave…

Green; The Apple of my Eye

Eating an apple a day in above breakfast nook will surely keep the Doctor away.

I love this hat by Kate Spade, doesn’t it say it all?

How cute is this LGD  (little green dress) by Anthropologie?

This is a “happy vase” if I’ve ever seen one.  It seems to be begging for some happy flowers, like daisies or fragrant stock or something simple and beautiful.

This cozy sweater by Lilly Pulitzer is a no-brainer on the cute factor.

And finally a green machine.  I’ve always wanted a little Roadster, wouldn’t it be so cool?  Yea, yea impractical, but throwing caution to the wind would be quite literal here.

How you like them apples?  (one of the best ever lines from a movie–you do know the movie right?)

Have a great weekend!
